"Be Better – Go Vote" is a five-part comedy campaign encouraging young Estonians to vote in the European Parliament elections, using humour instead of typical political messaging. Filmed across Tallinn, it earned over one million views and a Best Cinema Advertisement nomination.

CHALLENGE

Encouraging young people to vote is never easy, especially in European Parliament elections, where turnout among younger audiences has traditionally been lower. Rather than relying on conventional political messaging, this campaign approached civic engagement through humour, creating video content designed to entertain first and deliver its message second.

APPROACH

The project consisted of five fast-paced comedy sketches built around a simple concept: “Be Better – Go Vote.” Each sketch explored a different humorous scenario, from becoming a better friend to becoming more attractive, before revealing the campaign’s central call to action. Designed for social media and cinema advertising, the short-form videos used unexpected twists and relatable comedy to make voting feel like part of the conversation rather than a lecture.

From concept development and scriptwriting to production and post-production, our team delivered the campaign from start to finish. Filmed across Tallinn, Estonia during a four-day production schedule following a month of pre-production, the project balanced ambitious creative ideas with efficient production approach. The cast featured acclaimed Estonian actor Karl Robert Saaremäe alongside politician Hendrik Johannes Terras, whose appearances were woven naturally into the sketches to support the campaign’s authentic and approachable tone.

OUTCOME

Across all five videos, the campaign generated more than one million views and was recognised with a nomination for Best Cinema Advertisement of 2024. More importantly, it demonstrated how comedy, storytelling and carefully crafted short-form content can engage audiences with subjects that are often difficult to communicate through traditional advertising.
