MuinsusKodu is a heritage education initiative for homeowners of historic homes, focused on traditional restoration and practical, approachable guidance.
CHALLENGE
Renovating a heritage protected home means balancing modern needs with the history and character of the building. The practical realities of restoration, including appropriate materials, insulation, planning, and conservation requirements, can feel technical and overwhelming, with no clear place to start.
APPROACH
To help homeowners navigate that process, we created a ten-part educational video series for MuinsusKodu, an initiative by the Estonian National Heritage Board. Our task was to take information that often feels technical and turn it into a video series that was clear, useful and visually engaging. Estonian actor Mart Müürisepp led viewers through each topic as a host who felt like a knowledgeable friend rather than an official voice, bringing warmth, curiosity and an approachable tone, alongside real-life examples that helped make complex topics easy to follow.
OUTCOME
By combining authentic locations, practical demonstrations and structured storytelling, we created a cohesive video series covering ten key renovation topics, giving owners of historic homes a more confident starting point to begin work on their own.
